In connection with the regulation signed on November 21, 2024, which introduces a general obligation to use fire and carbon monoxide detection devices, we would like to present the carbon monoxide detectors offered by FIGARO.
The amendment to the regulation, which came into force on December 23, 2024, imposes an obligation to install smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in new residential buildings where solid, liquid, or gaseous fuel combustion takes place. Owners of existing premises have until January 1, 2030, to install these detectors.
For existing premises providing hotel services, the legislator imposes an obligation to install detectors by June 30, 2026. Earlier, from January 1, 2026, this obligation will come into force for commercial, production, and warehouse buildings.
For customers who would like to expand their product range with carbon monoxide detectors compliant with European Standards, we have prepared a short comparison of FIGARO's sensors.
FIGARO Engineering is a Japanese company, a leader in producing gas detection sensors. Decades of experience have allowed the creation of sensors that meet all European (EN50291, EN54-31) and American (UL2034) standards while maintaining low cost and long life.
Due to their low power consumption, both sensors can successfully operate in battery-powered devices, allowing for several years of operation on a single set of batteries. Along with good long-term stability, CO detectors based on FIGARO sensors can operate for several years without user intervention.
Key advantages:
- Small size
- Battery operable
- High repeatability and selectivity for CO
- Linear relationship between gas concentration and output signal
- Simple calibration thanks to the sensitivity printed on each unit
- Long lifespan
- UL recognized component
- Complies with EN50291 and UL2034
